Caleb Gafrarar Wins for Atlanta Speedwerks at NCM Motorsports Park

It was a trip to Bowling Green, Kentucky, and the NCM Motorsports Park this past weekend as Caleb Gafrarar joined the Atlanta Speedwerks Team in the ChampCar Endurance Series. Competing alongside the driver lineup of Todd Lamb and John Allen, the trio piloted the #996 Porsche Boxster to a pair of wins on Saturday and Sunday against 60 competitors and left the event as the 2024 National Champions.

“I can’t thank Todd Lamb enough for inviting me to race with the team this weekend,” explained Gafrarar. “It always feels good to come in and help a team to win but doing it during a national championship event is that much sweeter. The team will run the National #1 for the rest of the season.”

Saturday’s eight-hour affair was initially delayed due to fog but when the green flag flew, the team would start from the outside of row six in the 12th position. Quickly advancing, the #996 was fifth by lap ten and eventually took the lead of the race after the first driver change. Gafrarar patiently waited his stint as the anchor driver for the team and when he took the wheel, he continued the Atlanta Speedwerks dominance and drove to the first win of the weekend.

Returning to the track Sunday, a seven-hour race was on the docket and drivers would start in the same position they finished the day prior. Rolling off the grid from the pole position, the team handily stayed at the front of the field with Gafrarar once again the third driver and kept the car’s position at the front of the field.

Gafrarar added, “I had a brief battle with the second-place finisher for a few laps, but we were a full lap ahead, so it wasn’t for position, but to increase our lead. I was able to get by him and continue our push with a great pass around the outside of turn one. Finishing my stint in the lead, and bringing the car back in one piece, it was great to celebrate a National Championship.”

Caleb Gafrarar would like to send an extra special note of thanks to Todd Lamb for allowing him to be part of his now championship-winning program. Additional thanks go to longtime supporters Circle K, Bell Helmets, Molecule, OMP Racing, and Racing Electronics.
